General Summary:

The Supply Chain Accounting Lead will play a key role in providing leadership and guidance to the Supply Chain Accounting Center of Excellence (COE). The ideal candidate will be a strong value-added business partner to the Supply Chain Finance team, the Corporate Controllers group, the Division Finance teams, and functional counterparts.

This role will be responsible for a wide range of accounting and people management tasks. A successful candidate will be able to work independently and enjoy leading a diverse team of people (both in-house and outsourced). Candidate must be well-organized and flexible to be able to manage multiple tasks at once.

  • A continuous improvement mindset (identifying opportunities, proposing solutions and executing corrections)
  • Taking ownership over tasks and processes in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure

Primary Accounting Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team responsible for supply chain accounting including:
    • AOP standard setting and product costing for all SAP manufacturing plants and co-manufacturing plants;
    • Accounting support and coordination for all SAP manufacturing plants
    • Inventory valuation/reserve management;
    • Inventory control over both internal plants and third-party warehouse locations
    • Fixed assets
  • Act as the SAP subject matter expert for supply chain accounting and partner with the IT Finance support team
  • Lead strategic efforts for continuous improvement, standardization of processes and deliverables, and efficiency projects
  • Provide oversight and support to the third-party offshore Accenture team
  • Be a strong value-added business partner to the Corporate Controllers group, the Division Finance teams, and the functional counterparts

Primary People Management Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team (both in-house and outsourced) responsible for the primarily responsibilities listed above as well as specific month-end close processes and account reconciliations
  • Maintain a consistent focus on talent development and performance management
  • Hold team accountable to objectives and monitor team performance through metrics
  • Travel to other Campbell locations to provide guidance, as necessary – willing to travel up to 15%

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, CPA preferred
  • 10-12 years of relevant accounting/finance experience required, relevant industry experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC requirements
  • Experience with SAP preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Highly motivated and proactive in problem solving
  • Strong verbal and written communication and client interface skills
  • Strong attention to detail
