3rd Shift General Mechanic:

Job Description Summary: Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Mechanic will require the individual to utilize technical skills to work on the maintenance team to maintain plant assets.

Job Description:

Executes corrective maintenance tasks to maintain plant assets by utilizing technical knowledge to troubleshoot mechanical, fluid power and electrical systems. This includes driving to and addressing the root cause of issues using Continuous Improvement Tools.

Executes preventive maintenance tasks to maintain plant assets and ensures tasks are current in partnership with the Supervisor. This includes but is not limited to: lubrication tasks, measurement and replacement of worn parts, uptime inspections etc.

Implements follow up for identified issues and applies learnings to advance the program.

Executes predictive maintenance tasks to maintain plant assets utilizing vibration analysis, infrared technology, ultrasonic technology and others as needed to monitor the condition of plant assets.

Ensures predictive maintenance tasks are currently in partnership with the Supervisor.

Implements follow up for identified issues and applies learnings to advance the program.

Supports all plant safety, quality, 5S and Continuous Improvement Initiatives. This support may include but is not limited to actively participating in audits and all aspects of team concepts, such as displaying a positive attitude which are necessary to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Assumes responsibility for the Quality System requirements defined in 4.1.2.1 of the Pepperidge Farm Inc. – Denver Plant Quality Procedures Manual and is committed to meeting the responsibilities of the Team Member Job Description.

The above reflects the typical duties of the job. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Hours: 6:45pm – 7:15am, 4 days per week

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED with a vocational or technical focus

Prior industrial maintenance exp, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.

Outstanding mechanical aptitude. Ability to troubleshoot and repair computer-integrated

high-speed food processing/packaging equipment.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
