Responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of the plant’s robotic
and motion control systems. Independently performs in-house mechanical and
electrical troubleshooting and repair of all robotic manufacturing systems. Works
directly with vendors and other outside support to troubleshoot complex system
issues and to develop effective strategies to prevent their recurrence. Maintains
ongoing communication with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering personnel
regarding system performance; determines cause of equipment malfunctions and
breakdowns and addresses accordingly. Assists in the training of Operators and
other Maintenance personnel; coaches them in ODR duties, minor adjustments,
and/or repairs necessary to insure reliable system performance. Performs regular
Electro-mechanic duties as assigned by the Electro-mechanic Leader.
In addition to an educational background in electricity, electronics, or a related
vocational trade, the successful candidate will possess three years of recent (i.e.,
within the past five years) experience working with and troubleshooting vision-based
robotic systems, servo systems, and other motion-controlled hardware in a manufacturing
facility (Allen Bradley). A comprehensive knowledge of computer systems, integration, and troubleshooting is required. Other qualifications include the ability to diagnose and repair
