Production Supervisor

This position, which reports to the Product Manager, supervises all phases of production on the shift, which can include processing, baking, and packaging. The incumbent, who plans, schedules, and directs the work activities of up to 45 employees, is responsible for schedule attainment. In addition to verifying that product conforms to Company specifications, HACCP guidelines, and quality standards, he/she insures that it is processed under the safest possible conditions. The incumbent also trains direct reports; prepares written evaluations of employee performance; presents information to employees and upper management and consistently enforces Company policies pertaining to safety, quality, workplace conduct, attendance, etc. In addition, the incumbent helps drive the plant's Reliability Program by maintaining accurate information in SAP, meeting Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics and actively participating in Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings.

Job Specifications
* Associates Degree Required: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business or a related field preferred. * Minimum of three (3) years' previous supervisory or progressive leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. * Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) and build strong work teams. * Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and serve as a role model in the areas of safety, quality, workplace conduct, etc. * Working knowledge of HACCP, quality, and OSHA standards. * Results-oriented approach with exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities. * Computer literacy and basic mechanical aptitude.

Working Conditions Approximate working hours for this position are 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Although a six-day workweek is typical, seasonal production requirements may dictate a seven-day working schedule. The incumbent must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required, as well as alternate schedules.
