Cheryl
Research & Development, Arnott's, North Strathfield, New South Wales, Australia

"I started with Campbell Canada in 2004 as an eight-month R&D co-op student. When I graduated the following year, I was hired by the Commercial Technology group on contract, which evolved into a permanent position. In roles ranging from Assistant Technologist to Project Leader, I have been fortunate to work with many functions across the company. These experiences provided insight into how different countries solve common problems.”

"Now that I am in Australia, I am working with whole grain vitality, expanding the savory wellness of Arnott's icon biscuit brands. So far the experience has been fantastic. Learning a new culture, a new business, and new products can be difficult, but the Arnott's R&D team has been very welcoming and has made the transition quite smooth. I have found that the common theme among Campbell's businesses is a strong community of people and teamwork. I am eager to continue to gain new perspectives on the product development process."

Mary
Emerging Markets, World Headquarters, Camden, N.J.

"Since I joined Campbell in 2001 as the Resourcing Manager for Campbell Arnott's in Sydney, Australia, I have lived on two continents and worked in six roles encompassing both regional and global responsibilities. I have worked with teams in 10 countries including Australia, the U.S., Indonesia, Germany, and, most recently, China and Russia.”

"These global opportunities have been instrumental in my development. They have helped me to realize that, despite language, geography, and culture differences, what makes us thrive at work and play is the same everywhere: we all want to know where we are going and what is expected; we want to be able to put our best foot forward everyday; we want to feel valued and recognized; and we want to continuously learn and grow. And those are the things I have found at Campbell, wherever I have worked."

Rebecca
Research & Development, Campbell's Germany, Luebeck, Germany

"I had been with Campbell in Germany for six years in 2007 when I accepted a six-month assignment in Hong Kong, helping the R&D/Quality team manage development projects for markets in Hong Kong and China. I definitely gained a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities that these emerging markets hold for Campbell.”

"I also met caring and open-minded colleagues who thoughtfully integrated me into their teams. We all benefited from the mutual exchange of ideas and ways of working, and I got to understand and appreciate Asian culture. Of course, by leaving my familiar world, I also had to leave my personal comfort zone and balance insecurities and expectations. So I learned just as much about myself, my strengths, my drivers, and my needs. It was an extremely valuable experience."

Roger
Project Harmony (SAP), World Headquarters, Camden, N.J.

"I was recruited to Campbell in Australia in 2003 as a solution architect working on a regional order-to-shelf program that transformed how the Arnott's biscuit business interacts with its retail customers. In 2006 I became the region's Vice President-Strategy and Transformation, and less than a year later, I was offered the opportunity to relocate to New Jersey to lead the global SAP business process software implementation. I have had the opportunity to continue the SAP deployment, gain approval for international roll-outs, and extend our team's role into other transformational projects in Finance, Sales, and Human Resources. The value of this experience has been two-fold; firstly, the cultural opportunity to work in another country with my family has been extremely exciting and secondly, I feel more connected to the broader Campbell's family as my work has afforded me the opportunity to visit many plants as well as Pepperidge Farm and Campbell's Canada. I would recommend it to anyone who has a spirit of adventure and appreciates diversity.”
